ASIS PROVIDENCE

A MESSAGE FROM OUR 2012 CHAPTER CHAIRMAN

HT
HENRY TYSZKOWSKI

Dear ASIS Members,
Welcome to the Providence Chapter of ASIS International. As we move forward in 2012, I want to share with you some of the highlights of the upcoming year. We have scaled back from monthly meetings to having very informative and interesting meetings quarterly. For the 1st quarter of this year I am pleased to announce that we will be gathering at Rhodes Technologies in Coventry, hosted by ASIS members John Stewart, CPP and Jeris Braga. Our guest speakers are from the Rhode Island State Police Fusion Center. The Fusion Center was established to further the communication paths between private security vendors and the RI State Police as well as area Police Departments. This will be a very informative meeting and I hope to see you there. Please pre-register on the ASIS Providence web site at www.asisprovidence.org

The second quarter meeting will be with the ASIS Boston Chapter for the Boston Security Expo and we look forward to meeting in Boston for this fine event.

Our annual ASIS Providence Golf Tournament will also be coming up very soon and you can also register for this wonderful tournament on line. Last year was a record breaking year for our scholorship fund and we hope to see you there.

In September we will once again host the ASIS Public Safety Awards Dinner which we present awards to public safety officials who have gone above and beyond the call of duty as well as our very special Lifetime Achievement Award. Last year we gave out in excess of $10,000 in scholorships to worthy students who have displayed an interest in the public safety field.

I would like to thank ASIS Regional Vice President Bob Johnson for his continued support and also a warm thanks to past ASIS Providence Chairperson Mike Brugnoli for his dedication and leadership over the past several years.

Remember that ASIS is the largest organization advancing the security profession worldwide, but we need your help and support. We cannot advance without our members participation. Thank you in advance for your dedication.

This year looks to be a very productive year for ASIS Providence and I hope you will all continue to participate in our most worthy causes. I look forward to seeing all of you at our meetings and wish you continued success in all your future endeavours.

Sincerely,
Henry M. Tyszkowski
